One of the first things we did as Liberals was restore the age of eligibility for OAS and the GIS to 65 from 67 years, putting thousands of dollars back into the pockets of seniors & reversing a Conservative policy that targeted retirees, including the most vulnerable.
A re-elected Liberal government will:
➡️Move forward with our plan to boost the OAS by 10% next year for seniors 75 and over.
➡️Increase the GIS by $500 for single seniors and $750 for couples, starting at age 65.

We give more money to refugees than Old Age Pension... People that worked and paid into it their whole lives in this country. Brutal

But there is a condition of being here for 10 years which deprives many seniors even above 75 to get benefits.Something needs to be done there.
