A little workflow glimpse. 👀
I always start with a 2D walk cycle. Once I get the animation I like I use the camera trick with layer style stroke to get my isometric angle right (or any angle). After that it's all about getting the details right (frame by frame).

Another workflow glimpse:
1. Start with animating two simple lines.
2. Get those lines in an isometric angle.
3. Frame by frame the shoes drawing on top.
One of the most satisfying things for me is exporting my work as gifs. Its lacks the music but it's so crispy. Unlike the clusterfuck of twitters compression in video.
Doing isometric art is a bit like Legos. And that's why I love it so much. Here's the separated elements I animated for "One last bet" and how it all came together. ♠️♥️🪦
