When PLC+ team members collaborate and attain shared goals, they become more motivated and their expectations for future success increase. This is #CTE in action. There is a realization that the team can solve problems that an individual cannot. https://t.co/VvlqwfQSZN

The pathway offered in this playbook defines how teams can systematically cultivate #CTE and increase motivation and energy as individuals and, importantly, with each other. https://t.co/U2MJfmmMfl

Research from Joyce and Showers tells us that we need to practice a new strategy “with peers and small groups of students from 10 to 15 times before a high level of skill becomes evident.”

What's the difference between PD and professional learning? PD is done to you; PL is done with you. When adults co-design their own learning experiences, learning sticks because there's choice and motivation.

#CollectiveTeacherEfficacy occurs when there's a realization a school staff working collectively can impact the outcomes of all students, not just most of them. That's empowering.

Difficult conversations are a part of life, yet many people don’t know how to have them.

In the latest episode of Succession, the Roys make common mistakes to avoid during hard conversations: 1. They didn’t start from a foundation of trust 2. They tried to motivate through fear 3. They avoided hard truths 4. They offered insincere apologies https://t.co/rBIKD1mP7u

Post 1 of 3: Instead of jumping to conclusions, the Ladder of Inference helps to understand assumptions. First, name the assumption and then describe the information that led to it. "Here's what I think, and here's how I got there."
