With two southwest Kansas communities hurting right now seemed appropriate and necessary to bring this story back to the forefront. Mental health needs to be a priority and talked about. Share the courage and share with someone. Anyone.
It waasn;t easy for Damon Parker to tell his story. But it was one that needed to be told and hopefully will have an impact on those, young and old, who are going through the same things. https://t.co/iw2WXFbwKH via @CJOnline

I arrived at the Shawnee County elections office just after 11 AM and had voted by 11:30 AM. Election workers told me they’ve been seeing an average of 300 people vote an hour. Cars still pulling up for people to join the line. Office closes at noon.

Parking lines are a nice 6-foot marker for social distancing at Shawnee County Election Office in-person early voting. Less than 45 minutes left.

Shawnee County commissioner Bill Riphahn asked what would prevent another group from painting something bigger or over the top of it.
The Home Rule resolution prohibits unauthorized paintings or signage on Shawnee County property. Organizers know it is too late to save this artwork, but are planning a "bigger," "brighter" and "bolder" mural.

My SIL mailed a birthday card to our daughter. It was postmarked July 1. We received it Aug. 18. That’s how long a card with regular postage took to get from Colorado to Kansas. #SaveTheUSPS

Wondering what kind of game plan local school officials have for if/when kids get infected with COVID-19? @byRafaelGarcia has a handy explainer: https://t.co/ayP6esnO8P
