Today I posted something truly meant to be funny, and most thought it was. I’ve taken the original meme post down. It was meant as light-hearted satire, and a way to laugh through something that has genuinely confused and yes even hurt a lot of people on X. But I also see how.

Went to see my father at the hospital today, and when I walked in and said hello, I saw that look that my grandmother (his mother) had not long before she died. Almost like a long stare but the eyes seemed empty. He did talk some, but is so sick.

I regret to inform you this has split the church. The pro-egg faction is forming a denomination. The rest are fasting and rebuking paprika.
If your theology can’t explain why deviled eggs are still allowed at church potlucks, it’s probably heresy.
