Denny Hamlin has for sure become public enemy No. 1 for fans. He just had thunderous boos in intros, and again as he was coming around on the pick up truck waving to the fans. Kyle Busch, who used to be the most hated, now has more cheers than boos.

Chevy haters hate Chase Elliott
Ford haters hate Joey Logano
Toyota haters hate Denny Hamlin
Toyota haters used to hate Kyle Busch but now he’s a Chevy hero and Chevy haters don’t really need anyone else to hate.

Someone had to replace KFB once he went to the bowtie. Why not the most successful Toyota driver who has had run ins with the most popular driver and owns the team one of the most controversial drivers in the sport (for old fans, anyway) race for?

Actually deserving of it. He should have been called out and hated more after Jordan said her comments. Instead Nascar media kept quiet and let him be him.

If you wreck Hamlin, it’s a dirty move. If Hamlin wrecks you, it just racing. Denny gives it but can’t take it. It has become more and more obvious to the fans. KB took over the old Earnhardt seat and has mellowed with age. Immediate success didn’t hurt.

Like, there have only been a few times I think he intentionally made contact compared to KFB (Last year's fued with Chastain comes to mind), and it's more about what he says, but it's mostly that it's fun to root against someone, and Hamlin has given us the least reasons not to.
