Louise, my fathers pet. Great heifer to bring the rest of the heifers on the road, leads all the way and goes at crawling pace, walks straight up to the yard and waits for a scratch 😂

@LadiesFootball
I’ve played ladies football at every level and I personally would be very against this. Never mind the physical differences but would girls be happy being left on the bench or missing out on all stars in favour of biological males? Again my personal opinion don’t attack me
We bought this cow as a suck calf from our neighbour 6 years ago for less than the price of a bale of silage 😂 She’s still tiny but every year her calf is a cracker. Have a daughter in the herd and she’s a super Weanling producer too. Our best investment we reckon 🤓
This 17 year old cow doing the business with her 5month old bull calf. She’s called Anti Christ because she bullies all other cows and has had to always eat alone 😂
Twins second year in a row for this cow, last year we thought she accidentally walked on one and killed it, this year we’ve realised it was no accident and she only wants ONE white calf 🤬
No mention of the Prime Time investigation on dairy calves on the front page, they instead decide to come after suckler cows on the front page 🤯 absolute joke
Inside this week's Irish Farmers Journal find out why a collapse in the suckler herd is needed to hit climate target, over 700,000ha of straw to be chopped in scheme, calls for €300/ha designated land payment and a six-page tillage special. On sale now.
What’s rare is beautiful…. 4 Limousin heifer calves and one Saler heifer into the shed for weanling. Lovely June born ladies born to first time home bred Charolais cross cows 🥰
Annabelle had 2 babies. She’s lucky to be alive because we found her on her back one morning 6 weeks ago with a grey crow going to town on her 👁 lovely always when pets have babies 🥰
Up the entire night with sheep giving trouble lambing 😑🔫 and then I walk into the cow shed to a new baby calf unassisted and up sucking. Can’t beat the roan Charolais heifer calves. First 5 calves all heifers
60% of sheep lambed by 10th January 💃🏻 May seem like madness to most but we can’t have sheep and cows clashing in March or there would be too many arguments between us all when we’re tired and cranky. Different systems work best on different farms.
These 3 lads headed for Tuam weanling sale this evening pen 540-542. All from 💯 homebred mothers and 5* terminal Charolais stock bull. Lovely and quiet and ideal for anyone looking for quiet calves 😋
We’re at the stage of the lambing season where we have decided to get outta sheep next year……this stage happens EVERY YEAR and my father has forgotten the hardship by the time the lambs are in the mart in May 😂
Last replacement heifer of the year to calf unassisted and up and sucking when I found them. Homebred charolais heifer X Rutland Reuben LM8286.
5/5 replacements calfed ✅
5/5 heifer calves ✅
A nice 6am surprise found in the slats this morning 😅 bull calf @ 279 days. He doesn’t seem to mind had sucked and everything. Only 3 cows in the pen so least he had space 😂
Charolais cross heifer calfed at 290 days to Rutland Reuben LM8286 easy calfing bull. Things are bad when you’ve to put her in for the night outta the cold, wind and rain on the 3rd of July 🤪
@progressivegen
Anyone need a foster lamb? One of a triplet very hardy. We’re just too busy to be minding pets 😂 sucks her sheep and a bottle so hasn’t been neglected 🥰 lovely girl
Another heifer this evening. Big calf and a big cow. Slow calfing so my sister intervened and pulled her out 💪 her calf last year was sold at 6months at 320kg so hopeful for the same 🤞😂
Finally Gigi has had her baby. Charolais bull from stock bull. Bit of a pull without using the jack… she tried her best to follow him with her womb but trusty wine bottle at the ready🍷 1 litre of colostrum given to him immediately milked from his mam
Just what ya need on a Sunday morning a cow with grass tetany 🤨 luckily my sister spotted her before it got serious. These never ending wet days are leading to never ending issues 🤯
Great to see tg4 continuously playing the Lidl ad of me letting in a goal all day. Took 15 takes for me to let in the goal

@edel_concannon
great memories of Port Laois 😂
Into the shed for the night so we can keep a close eye on her. She is from a set of twins herself and she’s had twins before, and her daughter had twins this year. She’s bulky enough for 2 anyways 😅
When things start going wrong it’s never ending this time of the year 😫 firstly the calf was coming backwards and then 9 hrs later she puts out her womb. Hopefully she settles now and it stays in 😣
16 years old and her 13th calf. Goldie still produces quality. This lad is massive. Cow out wintered every year seems to help her 🐮 calves every June since she was a heifer 😋
Some craic getting this lad out during the night backwards…… sucked 2 bottles at 2am and now refuses to suck. Tubing him and dosing him since. At least his mum Catherine lets us milk her handy 🤷🏼♀️
