We received a Level 2 accreditation assessment from @NACADAKenya, Nyanza region, at our headquarters in Kisumu County. With focus on reporting, public health standards, and program quality, we’re thrilled to record an 8% score increase, from 84% to 92%.

We participated in the EU Kenya High-Level CSO Dialogue by the META project, gaining deeper insight into the EU–Kenya Strategy 2025–2034 and its Global Gateway focus. We also unpacked the green transition, civic participation, and human-centred digitalisation.

Our field officers held a Biannual Link Facility Mentorship at Etago Level 4, Kisii County, with Amakara B & Botabori A CHUs. Focus was on malaria case detection, referrals, reporting & household education. CHPs show strong awareness creation, with need for strong CHU committees.

We participated in the Kisumu Fashion Weekend at Acacia Premier Hotel, celebrating diverse fashion, culture & confidence. The event brought together designers, models & enthusiasts, highlighting style as a tool for self-expression and empowerment, especially for youth and women.

The TWG prioritized community dialogues, better medication uptake, standardized IEC materials, screening tools & increased psychosocial support. A key milestone was improved mental health data reporting, driven by stronger community-facility linkages by the County and partners.

We participated in the 2nd Mental Health TWG at Rockwell Hotel, convened by @KisumuCountyKE with support from Living Goods. Partners shared progress while we highlighted our work in prevention, response, advocacy & research to strengthen community-facility mental health systems.

At the invitation of Blair Educational Centre in Kisumu, we joined their 11th graduation ceremony as guest speakers, leading a session on mental health and GBV. We highlighted well-being, safe spaces, and seeking help while encouraging continued awareness and open dialogue.

We’re participating in a 3-day capacity strengthening meeting at Prestige Leisure Hotel, Kilifi County, organized by DAYO. The forum empowers youth, women & disability-led groups to enhance advocacy & improve youth access to SRHR services across Kilifi, Mombasa, Nairobi & Kisumu.

Our field officer held a Quarterly CHU Data Review in Bonchari at Riotanchi with Bonyaoro CHU. Focus was on the MoH 648 review, 100% household visits, and strengthening MIP referrals. There’s a need to provide the MoH 100 tools and enhance mentorship for better referrals.

For TINADA, this initiative strengthens efforts to promote community mental wellness and access to quality services. It aligns with our vision of bringing mental health care closer to the people and fostering a healthier, more resilient Kisumu community.
