Nowadays all you need is €550k ($630k) to live in and own 2 entire floors (~250m2) of an Italian palazzo covered in frescoes. The property includes an entrance hall, noble hall, sitting room, study, kitchen, two bathrooms, a closet, and four bedrooms, two of which are double.
When I have my own house I will cover it entirely in frescoes No wall or ceiling will be left blank.
