Eldest is running a fever, but I have an admission and a praise today. I figure out she was sick early, I’ve taken care of her needs, we stopped our beach walk and went home. I’m thankful that my heart in this is to take care of my family. I don’t think it was always like this.

Today’s agate is from a beach near my home. This is a very normal one for my area apparently!. My youngest daughter got a hold of it on our walk tonight and refused to let it go, she kept talking to it and patting. Also tried to use it as a hammer on concrete blocks.

I hesitantly pushed us to go farther and stay out longer on our hike yesterday. My wife was willing to accept that, we were both nervous but it ended up being a real blessing. We now know we can do a whole day adventure. I can see what she can’t, same for her — we’re learning.

Hey friends!. It’s fall in Alaska, hunting and gathering season. My family gathered lingonberries and crow berries, about three gallons worth. They make excellent additions to pies, breads, and cooked meats. What are you guys up to?.

Back home!. Alaskan Agate. The interesting part is the actual agate part is sandwiched tight between quartz and what I assume is a green jasper. I’ll have to learn more. #alaska #rockhounding #agate
