why can everyone mash and just run me tf over but i try approaching once and i am met with floor hugging reversals and shielding from lagless moves. what piece am i missing. what is the piece of the puzzle.

how do you get better at rivals 2 i feel like the worlds biggest moron playing this game.

wanted to just pop in bc my plans got cancelled and i had a free night, had fun. back to pushing rivals of aether 2 shaped boulders up hills.

stuck with this shit till august so i guess i hope absa somehow makes me love this game again otherwise im probably gonna call it quits after riptide if the next patch is not addressing this shit. im so tired of making excuses for this game.

ive had wrastor jab and fleet uptilt completely floorhugged at like, 60%. and this was before it was easier to do. this was not changed, instead, they are just welcoming in more people who spend their time throwing out their safe god moves while immediately buffering a crouch.

crouch canceling works in other games because it still forces you into tumbles beyond the lowest percents. there are moves that rip you to shreads for CCing (see- melee peach dsmash). not only do no such moves exist in rivals 2, but the threshold for success is mind boggling.

the issue with floorhugging wasn't that it wasn't easy to do, its just that it straight up feels awful to fight. nobody likes it when they correctly call out an opening only for the literal incarnate of "nuh uh" occurs and you lose the interaction for being correct.

thought i would really like new wrastor but as it turns out making him more accessible only removed the depth out of his hitfall based combo game i enjoyed while also making jump cancel tilts worthless because everyone and their grandma can floorhug now. genuinely miserable.

wrastor can get two slipstreams.

im just putting it out there-- if you were the loxodont that spammed upB ledge regrab with a stock lead then proceeded to let that be your only move you use, you may have won the set due to me quitting, but just letting you know that made me think you fucking reek.

rivals 2 is so fun when you are playing people you know and love. you go on ranked and then will fight watchmojo's top 10 worst people to ever walk this earth all in a row.
