After 18 great years, I have decided to step down as the head baseball coach at Chantilly High School. Thank you to all of the players and families that have made it such a rewarding experience. I have been lucky to have had great support from home and awesome assistant coaches

Isaiah Bumgardner is a baseball player with an amazing academic record. Isaiah is a member of the Physics Club and the Black Student Association. He will be attending UVA in the fall to study physics. The Boosters Club is proud to award the Scholar Athlete Award Scholarship.

Worth another read...here are some takeaways/conclusions • Develop the “machine” 1st (well rounded athlete); play 2nd • Simple works • Avoid overuse • Play multiple sports • If you pay for it, it isn’t necessarily better • If you pay for it, it isn’t necessarily honest
Must read for athletes and parents who believe “specialization” or “focusing” one sport is beneficial.
