Last Friday the Thumb Sportswriters Association held the 12th Annual TSA All-Star Game at Cass City High School. In the girls game, the West All-Star team defeated the East team 58-45. In the boys game, the West All-Stars took down the East All-Star team 90-82.

The 2025 TSA All-Star Games are right around the corner. This year the games will be held at Cass City High School on June 20th. $7 admission gets you both girls and boys All-Star Games, 3-Point Contest and Dunk Contest with the girls game starting at 6pm

Last night, the TSA conducted its annual All-Thumb Basketball Awards at Bad Axe High School. All of the First Team All-Thumb Players, along with the Defensive Players and Sixth Players, as well as the boys and girls Teams of the Year were there to receive their awards.

Sandusky’s Grace Guibord was able to lead the Wolves to their second straight regional title last week. The senior paced the way with 16pts against Harbor Beach and 18pts in the regional final against Genesee. For her efforts, she has been named the TSA Girls Player of the Week.

Kingston senior, Chesaney Wenzlaff led her Cardinals to another district title. The senior guard scored 31pts while connecting on 8 3’s in the 73-31 win over Peck. For her efforts, she’s been named the Thumb Sportswriters Association Girls Basketball Player of the Week.
