One of the best touring shows there is. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you might even sing! Go if you can. Action is the antidote to despair.

Huge win! Government announces plans to open up the Land Registry. If delivered, will finally reveal more about who owns land in England and Wales. Read my blog post for more details & how you can write to the Minister to make sure this now happens: https://t.co/hZbaRU9wdN 🧵

Alex is an old friend who was inspired by our show to create this work and we are excited to be giving the piece it's first 'official' showing. There has never been a more prudent time to be learning about how people have historically fought back against tyranny in all its forms

Tissues ready everyone... posh man who inherited insane fortune is sad that his children's lives might not be sustainable if the family has to pay tax like the rest of us. https://t.co/Hf4Rka7NzB

Who owns Scotland? How did they get it? For all those with an interest in urban and rural land, this updated edition of The Poor Had No Lawyers by @andywightman provides a fascinating analysis of one the most important political questions in Scotland. https://t.co/KUVX36Qklh

Here is the video of N York Moors being burned yesterday for the grouse shooting. For some reason it says “content not available” in the original post. Curious.

❗Smoke dispersal from Sunday's Grouse moor heather burning in north east Peak District. Massive effect in Stocksbridge and reaching as far as Barnsley. PM2.5 particulates harmful to health see: https://t.co/2DW3BSUB04

Lovely to see the grouse moors all ablaze above #Weirdale today. If this were the Amazon rainforest we’d all be up on arms. But this is for hobby shooting, so it’s really important and quite ok.

Head of National Sheep Association appointed to, errr, fix sheep overgrazing problem on Dartmoor. 🤦‍♂️ Ewe couldn’t make this up. 🐑 Meanwhile nature on Dartmoor continues to decline.

Disappointingly timid changes to capital gains tax, which will only raise £2.5bn. Equalising CGT with income tax could have raised £15bn Income from wealth should not be taxed less than income from work #Budget2024

It's utterly farcical that the leading lobbyist for sheep farming in the UK has been chosen to chair the Dartmoor Land Use Management Group. This has killed stone dead any credibility the group might have had in terms of setting the agenda for the future of nature on Dartmoor.

1. Best to read colonial history books other than Biggar's, which the last Royal Historical Society president compared to a 3rd class undergrad essay (reliance on discredited secondary sources, quoting out of context, misrepresenting sources, over-reliance on colonial records,

As the dust settles after yesterday's reforming #budget2024, it's time to look at what the reforms to Agricultural Property Relief (APR) from Inheritance Tax (IHT) actually mean, instead of the toys out of the pram reaction from a section of the farming community. A short 🧵 1/7
