Students in Mr. Pukalo’s English Language Arts class at TMS performed skits this week demonstrating their understanding of the novel, “Tangerine” written by author, Edward Bloor. A fun way for students to enhance comprehension and develop communication skills.

There is an elf causing mischief in Ms. Pinocci’s first grade class. Despite all the tricks this elf seems to be playing, Rumi the elf left some surprises for the class today. MRFES school students were excited by the elf’s visit.

You just never know what you will come across visiting schools! Today I ran into Ava Plaza, TMS student carrying a completed holiday project she built in technology class under the guidance of Tech Ed teacher, Derik Bernier. Ava was proud to share her creation.

One of the best things about being a Superintendent of Thompson Public Schools is making gingerbread cookies with our kindergarten students. Today Ms. Pederson, (Executive Assistant to the Superintendent) and I had the pleasure to facilitate the lesson in Mrs. Phyfe’s class.

As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to each of you. Thanksgiving offers a meaningful opportunity to pause and reflect on the many things we are thankful for—and our school community is at the top of that list.
