News: A federal judge just overturned Michigan Gov. Whitmer's 2020 order shutting down the 645-mile Line 5 oil pipeline. Line 5 transports 540,000 barrels of oil a day and supplies 55% of Michigan’s propane. W/o Line 5, the region would be short ~14.7M gallons of fuel a day.

As part of the action, DOE is also canceling a $299M award for methane emissions reductions, $201M for a state community program, and $56M for an "energy efficiency" program boosting electric over gas use.
