This Date in History: Women’s Basketball, 2018 – Jess Vormelker scored 42 points against Bethany, the third most in a single game in program history. Vormelker made nine three-pointers in the game to set a new program single-game standard.

This Date in History: Baseball, 2019 – Outfielder Nick Fowkes hit for the cycle in the second game of a DH sweep over Geneva. He singled in the first, homered in the fifth, doubled in the sixth and tripled in the seventh. Fowkes went to be named the PAC Player of the Year.
With today’s championship, Thiel has now won the most amount of PAC Wrestling Titles in league history with 24, surpassing the previous mark held by past member John Carroll!

This Date in History: Women’s Basketball, 2013 – Kelly Muffley scored her 1,000th career point. Now the assistant women’s basketball coach at Case Western Reserve University, Muffley is one of 15 players in program history to score 1,000 points.

This Date in History: Women’s Basketball, 2018 – Thiel defeated Alfred 77-70 to win the Betty Abgott Invitational title. Jess Vormelker, who was named the MVP of the invitational, scored 28 points. Destiny Johnson recorded a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds.
