I also want to add, that my knowledge on Malaysian elections is like a speck of dust compared to Danesh Prakash Chacko (the Director of Tindak). Here's an example of the kind of golden inisight that he shares from time to time.

The main take home for me isn't the fact that RON95 for Malaysians will be reduced by 6 sen to 1.99. It's the fact that foreigners will pay the MARKET price (unless I'm understanding the announcement wrong). If the effect is similar to diesel, this will bring significant.

It's doubly frustrating for Malaysia to get this so wrong, when one of the world's best examples (SingPass) is right across the border. Kalau takde idea, copy paste je. It's fine - you'll make everyone's lives easier and everyone will be happy.
