It's Disneyland's 70th anniversary today and it's also the fifth anniversary of me celebrating Disneyland's 65th anniversary by taking my usual loop through the park inside a video game.

Some of the new Disney POV stuff, like the montage of nighttime spectaculars less than 90 seconds long w/o the original music, is disappointing, but the Soarin' video includes the full ride AND the complete safety announcement so that one will be on loop all day

I take Disneyland at its word that AI is not used in the Walt Disney animatronic performance. There is absolutely some work done to make multiple pieces of audio appear to be given as a single speech, but that's what audio engineers are for.

FWIW, I just showed my wife, a theme park fan but not obsessive like me, the Walt animatronic and she was impressed, and didn't even notice any less than perfect details. I think your average fan is going to be impressed as hell.
The animatronic Walt Disney is an incredible technical achievement and a truly special addition to Disneyland
