Paying a visit to the spot where Antoine-Adolphe Fonck, the first Belgian to be killed in WW1. Following the outbreak of World War I, on 4th August 1914, at 10:30 am, he was killed during a reconnaissance mission to the "La Croix-Polinard" hamlet in Thimister-Clermont. #Belgium

Another great day with @Thegr8war following the events of August 1914, this time at the Forts around Liege. Fort de Loncin rates as one of the most impressive #WW1 sites I’ve ever visited and it’ll be good taking our @LegerBattleTour groups there over the next few years.

A great day exploring the 1914 battlefields between Dinant and Namur with @Thegr8war, looking at the actions for the fortresses and the sad terrible outcome of conflict for many innocent Belgian civilians at places like Spontin in August 1914.

Heading off with @Thegr8war for our Belgium 1914 Recce for @LegerBattleTour - will be good to be back in these areas again after we last did these battlefields during the #WW1 Centenary.

No Haggis in southern England. It’s certainly a lot easier up in Scotland where they have mashed tattie streams, rivers of neeps and you can catch your own fresh Haggis….. #burnsnight2024

Out in the Bois Jacques with Matthew Leitch, Tim Matthews and Peter McCabe who played Floyd M. (Tab) Talbert, Alex M. Penkala Jr & Donald B. Hoobler respectively in the Band of Brothers. Very poignant meeting them in Bastogne…. #bandofbrothers #bastogne
