It was useful to gain insight into how the civil service operates and how systems thinking is used when designing scientific evidence reports to inform policy. Hopefully futures thinking on chronic risks will help to create a more resilient framework for the UK in the future.

As part of the foresight team, we collaborated with the Cabinet Office to produce assessments on chronic risks to UK national security. During my internship, I delivered reports on competition for critical minerals and biodiversity loss – both fascinating topics.

Just completed a 3-month UKRI internship at the UK Government Office for Science (GO-Science). A wonderful experience where I got to understand how scientific research is used to inform policy. Thank you to my amazing team for hosting me – it was a pleasure to work with you all

One thing we LOVE doing at the UKCCSRC is enabling connections and collaborations and, thanks to our ECR Collaboration Fund, @The_ScienceCat has recently finished an amazing one with @sci_sjj @CSIRO and @PprogressU Read about her experiences here - https://t.co/bzWgSiGNp9
