Video games being streamlined into 'good' design through critic opinion and video essays has honestly hurt the medium the most. It results in many games that play the same with little to talk about because experimenting outside of set rules is 'bad design'.

Games like Deltarune don't have this issue because each chapter is like 2-4 hours of playtime in itself. Showing sneak peeks like dialogue, assets, and music never spoil the entire experience.

this wouldn't be an issue if the updates were just larger in scope maybe take the time to release multiple weeks at once in one batch the way things are now, If they just show one song and one background, modders can effectively recreate like 30% of the update
To me, the reason why FNF devs dont communicate or share teasers is because anything they show will be modded into the game. FNF fans just, cant let anything be, they HAVE to have their hands on it the moment they know it exists.
