Jumping, sliding, and giggles, oh my! FSN hosted a night for families at Q's Corner. Q's Corner is a play gym specifically designed for people of all abilities, and we are so thankful to them for having a special night our families!

This beautiful rocking chair was handmade by retired Dr. Kip L. Larson and was donated to us! It is a prototype of a rocking chair to help children who have a hard time sitting still and seek movement. We are grateful for the opportunity to try it out with our little ones.

Our Pre-K class's statement of the week was "Different isn't weird, sad, bad or strange. Different is different and different is ok." They had the chance to learn from our very own Sarah Shutt, who showed them her leg braces and the adaptations she uses to drive her car.

Our Pre-K class learned the value of a penny when they read "Patrick Picklebottom and the Penny Book" and got to shop from their own candy store! They loved getting to choose which candy they wanted to purchase with their pennies!

The Family Support Network believes in creating community from day one. One of the ways we do this is through our NICU outreach programs. NICU Groups are facilitated by one of our family support coordinators who is also a former NICU parent.

FSN hosted a wonderful evening of adaptive fishing for our CP Family Group (age 8+) last week at Oak Hollow Lake Marina! The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and their ADA Division partnered with FSN to support this event. It was a wonderful evening!
