I hope all coaches, parents and athletes stop and let @TYash42 take on this sink in. The amount of games, travel, and stress these high school (and younger) athletes are putting on their body is 100% unsafe. Take control of their schedule and safety. And if that team/academy.
I would argue the problem is long before they made it to the NBA. 7-8 games in an AAU tournament on a weekend all spring, all summer. No rest and recovery from a young age is a place to start the research.
