Dylan Cease is absolutely a short-term deal candidate, which matches him with the Cubs fairly well. Would not be at all surprised to see them pursue a one or two year deal.

Trey Yesavage went to East Carolina University, the same school I’m studying at now. Funny enough, a few of my current professors actually had him in class just two years ago. Crazy to think he’s starting Game 1 of the World Series now.

Cade Horton has been named The @sportingnews NL Rookie of the Year. He posted a 2.67 ERA across 118.0 innings in 2025 and delivered one of the most dominant second-half runs in recent memory. An amazing rookie year for Cade.

Cade Horton’s cut-ride fastball is such an interesting pitch. He leaned on it more than 50% of the time this year, and it worked beautifully off the sweeper/changeup combo.

Cade Horton’s rookie season was something special. His stuff has always been nasty, but once the command came together, he was flat-out dominant. Year two can’t come soon enough.
