Every person is valuable. When that becomes a foundational belief we choose to embrace and engage with in our homes, communities and workplaces, we will truly discover people’s value - and then affirm people as we affirm their value. This is Winning in Relationships. 🌲RW

People closest to a leader that are directly impacted by the decisions the leader makes have the highest claim as to how the leader is really doing and getting along. Fringe opinions, distanced critique, and outsider judgement - embrace at your own risk. Lead on!🌲RW

A close mentor of mine reminds me often of the “99%=0%” Rule when it comes to being a healthy leader. Heard of it? The 99%=0% Rule: Accountability only counts when it’s 100% We can choose to be leaders that take on 100%, readily bringing a potential solution to the table.

Leaders, when we fall short, stumble, miss the target or misstep - let’s not lessen the lesson. If we get knocked down, let’s take everything we can from the experience. We move forward - tougher and more tender as we continue. We Win by not giving up.🌲RW

When people come to us for perspective, an answer, or a listening ear - think about what they are communicating to us. It can get lost in the details and ins and outs of what they want to talk about yet under the surface is a gentle and powerful declaration: “I trust you.” 🌲RW

Leaders, believe in who you’re leading even when you don’t want to. Most shy away from this as it can be too costly, require more energy, and risk potentially being let down. But why SHOULD we? Because, the people you’re leading NOW are the training ground for what is NEXT.

Collaboration is powerful. It is even more powerful when you identify the appropriate time to do so. Examples of when to: You need more brainpower or to challenge assumptions. When not to: Someone just wants YOUR advice. Something is not open for debate. (Explain why!) 🌲RW

A leader’s kindness communicates that others can live in 2 powerful realities when around them: 1) kindness when navigating weaknesses 2) kindness when displaying strengths A leader’s kindness shapes an environment where the inevitable ebbs and flows of life are welcomed. 🌲RW

We can be optimistic leaders. That does not mean we pretend problems don’t exist, do not face challenges, or things won’t be tough at times. What it does mean is that we carry with us, Optimism, as we would a friend. Mindful of opportunity and possibility. 🌲RW

One of the healthiest leaders I know has committed wholeheartedly to this: “Praise publicly. Correct privately.” The proof is in the health of this company. Result? A team does the same. He shows them what’s possible and models it.

Big Q for many: “Where am I going?” Map the journey out & create a framed timeline: 1) In the next 90 days I will 2) In the next 6 months I will 3) In the next year I will Answering these before we answer “Ok, how will I get there?” Increases our likelihood of success! 🌲RW

Good organizations: “WE design OUR teams to solve the problems WE encounter.” Even Better organizations: “WE design OUR teams to prevent problems WE could potentially encounter.” Winning organizations: “WE design teams with one goal in mind: to improve OTHER organizations.”🌲RW

If we always remember what’s first, we’ll never be second. What is our first priority? Our highest call? Our most genuine affection? This is what’s first. When we put what’s first - we can identify the hard decisions, make better choices, & make them more efficiently. 🌲RW

Purposeful drive fuels the Winning mentality. Choosing the consistent process is more powerful than the shallow demand that others see us as a winner. Sustainable growth is an internal choice. = WINternal Motivation. 🌲RW | @kinsleyjordan @_sonofnel_ @LynnFletcherWed |
