This morning, soldiers of the 11th Essex & 8th Bedfordshire Regiments, killed in action in April 1917, were laid to rest at the CWGC Loos British Cemetery Extension. After 108 years, they have a final, honoured resting place.

An important update from our @WFASouthScot branch: the Russell Cawthorn Collection was inaugurated at Kelso Library on 8th May, where WFA Patron, Professor Sir Hew Strachan spoke. With c.2,500 books & 4,500 digital items, it’s a key new resource for WWI studies in Scotland.
