Happy to announce that I defended my PhD last week! Thanks to my PI @NehaPKamat for guiding me to the finish line. I'm going to spend the next few months accomplishing another dream of traveling the world while I consult on the side. First stop, Oslo! #phdone.

Imagine if your cells had their own Iron Man suits. We could supercharge our cells to have new and enhanced functions with nanotechnology. I wanted to explore this idea of cellular wearables as a different form of biohacking.

Will people soon just be covered in wearables? My colleague Haleigh Eppler discusses wearables and their impact in healthcare and daily life.

So many questions. Why didn't you park in the hotel lot? If your car wasn't there, why would you need to look at the security footage? How did you find your car so quickly during that phone call? Did you even check the neighborhood the breakdown? I'll never know. Off to Denver!.

Well my partner and I finish eating our breakfast (not good) and pack our car when we see her on the phone walking away from the hotel. So she's on foot now. As we're about to leave she rolls up in her car in the parking lot! Terrible park job of course. 7/n.

Well now I think she gets him on the phone an hour later (unless it's a voicemail?) and is yelling "you took my car, what is wrong with you?!?!?! Who does that?!?!?!" And is back to crying hysterically. Lots of drama. She's just stuck in the hotel and doesn't know what to do. 6/n.

So she's telling people she still has the keys to her car, but he took her car without the keys? Now we're thinking she just doesn't know where her car is. But he also took all the hotel keys and isn't picking up the phone. And why wouldn't she park in the hotel lot it's free?5/n.

The receptionist kept telling her she can't see the security tapes without the manager and a police report. So she's fuming and yelling at them. Eventually they just direct her to go back to the room. But then I start learning more of the facts and something doesn't add up. 4/n.

Then she asks the receptionist if they can call the police cause she's out of town and doesn't know the number (I think the police is 911 everywhere. But alas). She's making a huge scene next to the complimentary breakfast. But she does call the police eventually. 3/n.

So she's talking to the receptionist that the man she was with stole her car out of the hotel parking lot and she needs to see the security footage. Apparently she "didn't really know him that well." But all the stuff in her car is gone too and she's freaking out. 2/n.

Life update: this morning in a KC hotel, I woke up to a woman in the lobby crying and yelling hysterically. She's screaming "my car is stolen! He stole my car!" I peak out the window and see my car is still there and ok, so now it's fun and games. 1/n.

My PI always said you make lifelong friends at GRC, and I have found that to be true! Thanks @KarenEMartin3 who I met at @grcimmunoeng for showing me Oslo (attend in 2024! Italy!) Wish you were here with us @zclapacs. Now off to Cape town!
