“She’s all I got..she’s worth it.” 🥹 We loved helping Sue Ellen at our Pet Wellness Day clinic hosted by Skid Row Community Refresh Spot and @FoundAnimalsOrg. You could feel the love between dad and Sue Ellen - their bond was so genuine.❤️🐶 #petsarefamily @DrKwane

Rain or shine, pet families showed up. 💙🐾🌧️ Even with a little rain coming down, devoted pet owners still came out to our free clinic in Venice.

where Roscoe received an exam, X-rays, and the medication he needed. Tim was relieved. Grateful. And reminded that someone sees him—and the pup he loves. Huge shoutout to Val for the persistence and heart. Because trust is built in the return.

“Roscoe chose to be with me,” Tim said. “So we’ve been together ever since.” When Tim noticed Roscoe had a persistent cough, Val offered to help. She arranged a pet Uber ride to our veterinary partner, B Street Veterinary Hospital,

“We’re homeless, but we’re not without.” 💙🐾 On the way to one of our free clinics in San Diego, our Community Specialist, Val, met Tim and Roscoe. Tim told us he rescued Roscoe last year—and even though he was hesitant to take on a dog while living on the streets.

The best part? This wasn’t about pressure—it was about education, respect, and giving someone the information they need to make the best decision for their pup. A healthier pet. A stronger community. A choice that makes an impact.

Dr. Kwane talked with a new puppy parent about why spay/neuter is one of the kindest choices you can make: it helps prevent accidental litters, reduces the # of pets in shelters, and can lower the risk of certain serious health issues down the road.

You can get a lot done with a backpack full of supplies and some compassion. @drkwane and Genesis were able to wrangle an energetic pup to deliver some care. 🩺✨

Signs to watch for: • scratching or rubbing ears • head shaking • odor • redness/irritation • discharge • sensitivity or whining Ear infections can become chronic if they’re not treated—so catching them early makes a big difference. 🩺✨ No judgment. Just help.

Some dogs are more prone to ear trouble, especially floppy-eared breeds and dogs with allergies (the most common underlying cause). Think: Cocker Spaniels, Frenchies, Retrievers, Pugs, and pups who deal with itchy skin or seasonal allergies.

Two sweet pups in Venice, and a pet parent who was so grateful. 💙🐾 Dr. Ari gave them full exams and helped tackle one of the most common issues we see on the streets: ear infections—including gentle ear cleaning and the care they needed to feel better fast.

Listening, learning, and building trust is at the heart of this work. Progress doesn’t come from pressure. It comes from trust—and trust comes from showing up. 💙🐾 And we learn along the way too!

Dr. Kristen didn’t earn a “yes” in one visit—she earned it by showing up again and again, following through, and treating Harley with respect. After nearly a year of consistent care, Harley finally agreed to spay/neuter because the relationship was strong and the trust was real.
