I have never anchored a legend or player passing, and the studio work that @ColeWright did on Marquee was masterful. Obviously, knowing the guy makes it hard to control emotions, but Wright did a great job with it.

On the last part of my Sabathia story, CC would have gotten a bonus if he’d thrown a certain amount of innings, he was crushing it that day & would have made the innings limit, securing the bonus. It was more important to him to stick up for his teammates.

I think CC is the only Hall of Famer that I saw pitch in person (when Kinston came to Lynchburg, I think it was 2000 when he & Danys Baez pitched back to back nights). 2018, last start of regular season, CC hit a member of the opposition to stick up for a teammate. Great teammate.
