@whyangelinawhy I love when you're at Cedar Point in the announcement say "Say hello to all your Peanuts Pals" but they don't enunciate it enough and that "t" kind of gets lost and it sounds like they're saying something quite different.

Despite being in the chartreuse library, Friꜩ is not a Chartreuse, but a Persian. He is groomed for medical purposes. He is an incredibly good, sweet boy who loves headbutting affectionately and burrowing into blankets for extreme coziness.

I just find it fascinating that a series that probably sold over 200 million books is effectively invisible to people who write about books, and has never jumped to the screen.

Mind you, I'm not championing the series - I think I read one in the era when my father and grandmother would regularly just have boxes of books they'd trade with anyone.

…yet regularly is skipped in "best selling book series of all time" because it has always been pulp, it's too hard to get a good aggregate number due to number of books, and its aging male audience is generally not out there posting on the internet.

It's actually hard to get an accurate count of the amount of Bolan-world novels, Wikipedia's estimate of 621 is low by at LEAST 50 the last time I researched it. It's fascinating a series that sold enough books to be one of the most-published series of all time…

The Mack Bolan series is something your dad or grandfather read in the 60s-80s. There are over 600 pulp action novels in the character's series and spinoffs, and despite all of them sounding like your 80s action hero movie plots, nobody has ever broughtthe series to TV or film.

Starfruit is fine, but awful before ripeness. I'm gonna say it, starfruit have been getting by on looks alone and I'm sick of its BS.

Imagining being shocked and upset that Will from Stranger Things was revealed to be gay in season 5. Something that was incredibly heavily telegraphed from seasons 1-4. It's almost like some people have no media literacy or are just rage baiting.

Trump doesn't care about you, someone told him a month or so ago that taking your oil would be easy. You kissed his ass and all you get is the lingering taste. Enjoy your nobel prize, chump. https://t.co/XSlI5orxEc

The nuclear football is a terrible idea. But if we're going to keep it, the nuclear football should lethally electrocute the user, and the user should know this in advance. The stakes are too high.

Sam Altman believes that AI will kill humanity, thinks that's probably fine, and warns us that saying "please" and "thank you" to AIs is bad because it costs his company money. These are deeply unserious people engaged in a grift, not pioneers of tech. https://t.co/g4fobK0NjU

Google, I have two black cats in my photo history (one I have now, one I had in the past), and take pictures of all my cats frequently. And you tell me this is too big of an ask? Get wrecked.

Colour of the Year Pantone: some white bullshit. IKEA: an actual colour. Not a colour I care for (it's good for mens' shirts but I wouldn't want furniture this colour). But it's a real colour; they didn't lost the plot like "industry leaders of colour expertise" Pantone.

To be fair, I did this to the most limited extent - non dress socks - donated a billionty of the best ones to a clothing charity, and just bought plain black medium thick socks, and only kept a couple of my favourite dress socks.

About 15 years ago, it was high time we stop pretending "I have one outfit, with 10 instances" with being a big brain genius instead of being someone trapped in their own wardrobe.

Meta is very self-unaware. I think they think they're cool like Target in 2000. But they're about as cool as K-Mart in 2010.

Watching tech bro bootlickers reminds me that some functionally intelligent people actually think that AI is closer to a useful tool for human knowledge than it is to Talking Carl Duel. At least Carl getting into a fight was funny. https://t.co/62Q9NoJo1n
