Big news for Year 11!!!!!! Thanks to Miss Baines, we now have a rescheduled date for the Prom we promised you. Get planning for January 15th 2021 at Cave Castle. It’s going to be a huge celebration. (Fingers crossed large gatherings are allowed by then.)

Tomorrow, in honour of George Hessay's birthday, Y11 pupils will be selling ribbons to raise awareness of Mental Health and how we can all do our bit to support others by being kind online and in society.
This awesome young lady raised £200 for our Ukraine fundraising effort by walking 20 miles at the weekend. What a role model and fantastic young person you are Pippa! Well done.
In one day, our amazing school community has raised £675 by selling bands for Kadell. This money will be added to the GoFundMe page for Kadell's family.

Well done to all pupils collecting results today. Year 11 you have achieved some stunning results across many subjects and the school's attainment score has moved from 45.7 to a brilliant 49.6. Last year the national average was 44.6. We are very proud and wish you all the best.

Parents/Carers of Y11 pupils rest assured, we are already looking into special consideration for pupils taking exams this year. Naturally some are affected more than others, but we are very aware that all have lost valuable learning time.

Mrs Blackledge reminded pupils of the importance of continuing to show respect and gratitude to our Armed Forces. Mr Williams explained the context of ‘In Flanders Field’ by John McCrae and Mr Nichols played The Last Post.’

Mrs Wilson has done a great job in the kitchen for us since school closed serving breakfast and sorting lunch. This was Mr Issatt’s idea- build your own wraps!
COVID 19- Many thanks for your continued support and understanding. We have ensured copies of letters are available on the website as well as on Parent App. It is a fast changing situation but we will endeavour to keep you as best informed as possible.
I know we keep posting feedback from staff and parents but each tweet represents a lot of hard work from staff and an enormous amount of resilience, maturity and responsibility from our pupils. They deserve the 'shout outs'!
