Newly-discovered #comet C/2025 K1 (Atlas) will be a northern hemisphere gem for much of the rest of the year, making 2 close approaches to Earth: 0.58 AU in August, and 0.40 AU in November.

If Planet 9 exists at ~600 AU, its motion against the sky is primarily parallax caused by Earth's motion. The slow crawl towards the left of the screen is from Planet 9's orbital motion. Each loop is 1 year. The grid marks are spaced 1 degree apart.
