Used Global Entry today for the first time. Zero line. Stood in front of an automated kiosk. It took my photo and in ~2 seconds, said "Approved,". Immigration officer said "Thank you, you can go". End to end 30 seconds through immigration. Blown away.

Why has there been such little innovation in air travel over the last ~25 years - it is not significantly cheaper, faster, safer, or more comfortable than it used to be. All the technology advances over this time, and just e-tickets and mobile boarding passes to show for?

To be clear, I am not recommending changing coverage or premiums based on your health risk. I am asking why shouldn't these be linked to your voluntary choices such as smoking etc?

Why shouldn't insurance companies be allowed to refuse covering expenses if you choose not to get the vaccine? Or raise your premiums? I know this opens a big can of worms and has problems. But car insurance can change based on driving habits and choices. So why not this?
