It always boiled down to the directors, not Burton which is what he said too, and I hope fans may have a change of heart regarding how Burton voiced Cloud seeing how Cody is being directed the same. It’s how Cloud is supposed to sound.

It’s always the investors/ shareholder that drives the business, not consumers. I’m curious if this is what happened when Kiryu, who worked at DEI agency Dentsu, took over as CEO for Square Enix. Did the shareholders have the intent for him to be CEO when he first became CSO?

Ryan Lacina, former Square Enix marketing director, moved from SE to Sega and began to recast VAs just like he did in FF7R and used YouTubers for marketing. These gaming companies do not care about our opinions, only bottom lines. https://t.co/wLx2XYqURf

Incredible. It’s always the same 6 or 7 investment firms that own all the companies. We are watching the western agenda be globalized right before our eyes. This is why Japanese companies no longer work for the consumer, but for the investment firms.

Well that explains Square Enix’s behavior
🇯🇵🚨🚨This is insane. @elonmusk Japanese government just announced they’re going to start doxxing people for posting things the government doesn’t like—what they think is “misinformation” and “malicious slander.” They declared war on free speech. It doesn’t matter if you’re

I support a business backing up their employees, I do not support hypocrisy in a business that uses the “rules for thee but not for me” mantra. You have no business without customers.
@TheReunionVII If you don't like that the company is backing up their employees then get lost bitch

We live in a dystopian society when a fan-con such as KupoCon goes to police & “investigate” Susan Calloway’s social media interactions for what they deem are“offensive posts” in hopes she was “hacked, yet they welcome talent who makes posts with concerning rhetoric as such:

@RainyViera And since most localizers are Gen Z that spend most of their time on Tik Tok instead of actually doing their job, they can't translate some therms in japanese that can't be 1 to 1 and will shove memes or anything they find funny in there, even if make 0 sense

Here is the tweet if anyone wants to see the RT’ed replies.
This is one of the best examples with the issue with localization. In Neo TWEWY, in Japanese the character says “Bye” as a form of entitlement speaking in a foreign language, but EN says “Later Losers”. The correct choice would be “Ciao” as that’s what English speakers would say.

The same situation occurred to me when I started critiquing Matt Furda’s (Square Enix) localization of TWEWY. There seems to be an army ready to protect the localizers from criticism regarding the liberties they take.
Let's keep the 200+ completely organic and not at all brigaded QRTs going here! You guys can do it again, come on now.

John Heinecke, Chief Publishing Officer of Square Enix concerning Jimmy Kimmel: “Sadly, they value their pending merger more than freedom of speech” If he cares about freedom of speech, why are the SE employees deleting comments & posts about Kate Cwynar on the FFXIV forums?

Dentsu is an important player of DEI in Japanese companies. Square Enix began pushing Pride & the LGBTQ community heavily in June 2020 Takashi Kiryu, the current CEO of Square Enix, was hired by the shareholders as Chief Strategy Officer in June 2020 His past work? Dentsu.
They got hijacked and bullied by american staff to do this. In a perfect world, all american staff would be terminated tomorrow for pokemon and nintendo. Also they work with dentsu who they paid a lot of money to, just to be told “artificial scarcity is good bro” Dentsu

Square Enix’s response to fans concerns is very obvious. I can only think they continue to delete posts to keep the forums clean in case Japan leadership browses it. Seeing what fans are truly saying would break the narrative the western branch is delivering to Japan.

Comments from Japanese FF14 players speaking about the state of Square Enix. It seems Japan does not approve of the activism in Square Enix either. If both the East and West do not approve, why are they still doing it?

ff7 eng localization has been giving us scenes with different meanings than what’s intended in the jp script written by nojima and even changing scripts to the point it changes the interpretation of characters and it has been what fueled the unnecessary discourse for years now
I'm honestly starting to suspect that it's intentional Japenese summary says an encouter changes Cloud's destiny English uses vague words: "once more", "destiny of an entire world" There is a chance that we're playing a different FF7 Remake compared to Japan
