I wanted to anonymously share my retirement investment journey as so many others have on Twitter, many of whom have made me wiser and (mostly) wealthier. If you're wondering how you go about choosing and managing investments, I hope I can contribute in some way.

2025.Q2 numbers are as in as working on Slovenian campsite WiFi will allow and I'm more than pleased with over 9% YTD with Q2 putting in a respectable 7%. Holding on to renewables, REITs and boring debt and insurance income finally coming good.

My wish has been granted, courtesy of Mrs RI who is probably hoping that a meeting with (like-minded) investors might reduce all the mutterings about NAVs, DGInein etc. Hope to meet some FinTwitterati IRL for the first time and maybe have a 🍺or 2 🤞.

For reasons outside our control we are on a month-long van trip round bits of Europe, currently roasting in Bled. There are lots of pics I could post to represent the holiday so far but this one from Kitzbuhel seems to neatly cover everything

Been away for Mum's 90th so bit late on this, but #CSN on my watchlist as diversification from #PHNX after the recent run so really appreciated the timing of Henry's explainer. 🙏.

The last time we had this much cash was just before taking our lump sums in Jan 2020 and I started dripping money back into markets just before Covid! As we've 2x 5 week trips this year, have lumped 100k into #CSH2 money market ETF for now. Happy just to keep our 8% YTD tbh.

Actually 2 days ago - I'm getting too good at sitting on 👐 in 2025, partly due to being distracted and partly because already on track for 2nd best YTD since my records began 5 years ago and don't want to jinx things with bad choices so cash pile optionality is fine for now.

#BBGI proceeds (HL) dropped into Mrs RI's SIPP today. Yet more cash to reallocate, along with #GACB next week. .

Really wish I could make this, especially as I follow most of the excellent speakers already, but if you can I'm sure it'll be a cracking day/evening.

And the 10k into my SIPP only cost 5 IIRC due to the ridiculous child benefit cliff-edge.

I literally did this in my 40s when IR35 came in. Ditched 100k for 60k and a 3 day week so I could spend more time with young kids. Best decision I ever made - made every sports day!.

I guess some of us keep ourselves fit and away from the NHS as much as possible whilst enjoying the fruits of that working-time saving and investing 🤔.
