After my posts on MD PMR, .Getting lot of DMs, most don't know about the branch; but looking for similar branch 😅. Awareness is increasing definitely. This year the cut off is definitely going to rise for PMR (compared to last year) 📈. Follow and look out for my next post. I.

Common Misconceptions - .Is PMR Physiotherapy ? - Nope! .A PMR specialist is the leader of the Rehabilitation Team which consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech language pathologists, Social Worker, Psychologists.

Coming to last but not the least important part; .Salary post MD - .* During SRship - 85k to 1.2Lakh (Depending upon the institute) .* Corporate Hospitals - starting salary 1.5 - 1.8 L and increases with experience. * Own Centre - Sky is the limit.

There are a lot of vacancies in central institutions for senior residency post MD, .Currently NIMHANS, All AIIMS Hospitals have MD PMR.

A PMR specialist is also trained in various surgical procedures like tendon lengthening, deformity correction surgeries, intrathecal baclofen pump implantation. (Note - Surgical Procedures are taught in some institutions - DM me for more details on the same).
