And it’s something I feel I can’t do because I’m a girl. This might just be me and not something common to most female fans, but idk lol maybe someone else can relate. Maybe one day I can just get over it and learn to pretend it doesn’t matter ☠️.

Going to smash con, lining up for the hololive panels this year and last year, I was the only girl I could see near me. Of course there were more, but so few that I couldn’t see any while lining up. I see guys all around me making friends while in line with people they just met.

I’m reminded of that time I tried to compliment someone on his 🐾 art print, and he just sorta stared at me and didn’t reply. I keep ruining that if I were a guy, he would’ve said thanks and we might’ve made friends.

It feels like I’m missing out on so many amazing experiences, and it’s not like it’s anybody’s fault that it’s like this necessarily either. Everybody is so welcoming and kind online, but it’s hard to trust that that attitude will stick in real life.

I think if I were a male fan, I would’ve made a bunch of irl holo fan friends and I’d have gone to a ton of fan meetings and I’d have gone to learn to play holoka with strangers,, it’s not like I can’t do these things now, but at least for me it feels almost impossible 😝.

I wonder if male fans realise how difficult it can be as a female fan to feel a part of things sometimes haha. It’s hard to walk into a room knowing you’ll be the only girl there, so I think a lot of us just don’t go to events and things in the first place :”).

So… any female Sydney-siders who wanna learn this card game together,, together we can save this ratio….
