Im going to keep celebrating the small wins🎉 Update on my @godotengine + @kotlin + @nuxt_js game. Server side map loading & collision done! Client side map loading and tile animation done!.#gamedev #indiedev

This is why I love programming. Solving problems, dopamine hits, pure bliss. This is such a minor accomplishment in the grand scheme but getting a JWT loaded to my @godotengine game from @nuxt_js using @supabase auth to validate with my @kotlin backend is such a win! #gamedev

I've been playing with @godotengine this weekend and I've got to say, they really have come a long way since I last gave it a shot! gd script is simple to work with and the node system is 🤌 @finalbossblues character assets are the icing on the cake!

I hate rewriting code, but it's a necessary evil when transitioning from MVP. Luckily, remaining in the #Typescript ecosystem saved me a lot of time and @fastifyjs was a breeze to work with. My new architecture is nearly production-ready after a long weekend. #buildinpublic

@vectly_ai 7/7 - Back to shipping with a hybrid architecture that actually works. More complex? Def. But now I understand WHY it needs to be this way. Sometimes the best way to learn a technology is to build something ambitious with it. Even if you have to refactor along the way 🥳.

@vectly_ai 6/? - If youre thinking about building with AI but feel overwhelmed by what you don't know - just start. Youll learn embeddings by implementing search. Youll understand streaming by building chat. Youll discover infrastructure needs by trying to deploy. Building IS learning.

@vectly_ai 5/? - Am I starting over? Nope. Just evolving the architecture. Frontend stays on the edge, AI operations get their own backend. Its not a failure - its learning what actually works by building something real. This is exactly why we build side projects.

@vectly_ai 4/? - Heres the headline: AI apps need different infrastructure than typical web apps. Edge functions are incredible, but AI SDKs need full Node.js. PDF parsing needs real compute. Streaming responses need persistent connections. You cant know these constraints until you hit them.

@vectly_ai 3/? - Everything worked beautifully locally. Multiple AI models, PDF/doc processing, RAG pipelines. I was learning and shipping at the same time. Felt amazing. Then came deployment day and Cloudflare Workers had some opinions about my Node.js dependencies 😅.

2/? - When I started @vectly_ai, I didn't know what embeddings were, how LLMs actually worked, or what a vector database did. But that's the beauty of side projects - you jump in and figure it out as you go. Built features first, understood them second. No regrets.

🧵1/? - Been quiet about my AI app project lately, but for good reason - I learned the hard way about what it takes. Started with zero AI knowledge, hit some walls, learned a ton. #buildinpublic #indiehacker #webdev #AI #learnbydoing #startup #typescript.
