CCTV systems with remote access via mobile devices are at risk from criminals. Systems with no password protection or use the manufacturer’s default password are most at risk. PSA contractors should advise clients to change the default password and instruct them on how to do so.

Unlicensed security, -is against the law, -creates unfair competition, -leads to high staff turnover, -puts businesses & customers at risk, -lowers levels of standards & professionalism, -damages the reputation of the security industry. Use PSA licensed security. It’s the law.

Buying low cost or unlicensed security may seem a good idea but consider the risks. Low cost can indicate that legal requirements on wages, health & safety or equipment are being breached creating risks for your staff, customers and business if something goes wrong.
