On Friday evening we had a brilliant tour around Plurenden Manor Farm. We met the cows, fed some calves, missed seeing a calf born by minutes, watched some milking & saw where all their lovely milk is processed for their milk rounds. We even got treated to some yummy milkshakes!

This week on the farm…We had a visit from Megan the Vet from @Westpoint_Vets to look at some of our animals. Poppy the cow was scanned to confirm her pregnancy, Tulip the pig had her toe nails trimmed and Milo the calf needed some TLC after a case of bloat. Thanks for your help!

What a way to finish my time showing with @TheNorthSchFarm. 2 firsts with Cosmo. With a first in the parade and then coming first as a club out of everyone. What a weekend and a massive thank you to the teacher leaders as without you guys this would never be possible ❤️💙❤️

The Young farmers are on @kentcountyshow count down! Sheep and cows are washed, just the final touches to do! @kentyf
This afternoon @TheNorthSchFarm we washed the sheep and had a chill with them in the field to make sure they stayed cool; we also did some walking and lining up!! 💙

Today @TheNorthSchFarm I washed Biscuit with the help of other young farmers to prepare for kent show and the pre-show tomorrow! 🩷🫧🐮

The younger ewes and Gru are enjoying their summer holiday already! The rest of the ewes will be weaned next week and will head to the field to join them. This gives our fields a bit of a rest!

Today we had our sheep sheared to remove their fleeces for the summer. Our shearer was a Young Farmer at the North School over 10 years ago and now has his own livestock. Great to see our ex Young Farmers at work in the industry.

Great news! Tulip the pig has had her first litter of piglets. We have 6 healthy babies

We were very excited today to learn that our beautiful cow, Bueno, is pregnant with her third calf. This is especially good news following her c-section in October. She is due on 23rd December so we will be needing some Christmas baby names!
