Need a 12 issue "Superman: Lifestory" that makes this development something actually tangible rather than just fidgeting books of like 4 completely seperate eras into one barely-cohesive narrative
Might be an unpopular Supermantwt opinion but I don’t mind if Clark’s grows to overcome the loneliness and isolation that he experiences in between his Superboy years all the way to marrying Lois and the formation of the Super Family.

Secret Years is kind of an anomaly because it came out in literally the only time it could have ever been made. It's completely incompatible with nearly any story published after 1986 and that kinda makes it special in a way.

Damian Wayne became my subconscious symbol for change in the DC Universe. He was the first shake-up I ever had and he was there to usher in each era of reading for me. And truthfully? Almost everything I've read of his I've loved. So maybe he's not a bad pick.

Then suddenly it's 2021. First time I'm on social media, and I've gotten into reading month to month. Can't help but pick up Robin! It's this strange attraction to this character that I couldn't quite shake.

Then Rebirth proper kicked off, I started reading Superman and somehow I bumped into him again. Then I started reading Supersons and suddenly he's the third of my experience of my big-defining DC era.

I read the Gleason book at my local library and suddenly I started to sympathise with the character more. It was one of the earliest stories from the era of when I truly started READING comics. It represented another shift.

His heavy presence in the animated movies allowed me a way to follow his story too. Did I find him annoying at first? Of course! That was, to a degree, the point. Did I get that? No. Yet I still found myself following his adventures.

I don't think you realise the impact a character has on your life until you have the full picture. Case in point: Damian Wayne. Damian was the first time the DC Universe shifted for me. The first big status quo change in what I had considered an unshakeable monolith of lore.

Okay obvious opposite themeing aside, Animal Man and Swamp Thing feel almost intrinsically linked. Like some strange yin and yang set down similar but different paths. I think it's something to do with the Morrison Moore magic feud.

These damn Wests hogging the Flash mantle Give it to someone else for a change you assholes!
Everyone replying to this saying "yea Wally peaked its time to move on to Bart" without realizing that his opportunity came and went and that theres only one Flash Family member who should take the mantle after Wally

Don't confuse my dismay with the other GLs as positive towards Guy, He's still really obnoxious in the hands of most writers, making most of his stuff boring or grating and the worst of it is bordering on like sexual harassment.
@TheNerdSpider Its easy to be consistent if you have a a loud and annoying asshole cartoony personality

He's also the only Corps GL with any semblance of a consistent personality- WOAH WHO SAID THAT?

I think Guy's position as the most volatile Green Lantern makes sense for why you'd want him to interact with the greater universe. He's the one that's most likely to get a reaction out of the characters he's talking to
Realised that Guy has seemingly been synergied into the main GL Superman interacts with Not inherently opposed to it even if I prefer Hal, but I don't think these 2 have ever had that interesting of a dynamic

The character has not been used in any meaningful way since 52, and even then I think that was a step-down from Black Vengeance. Is it maybe people just don't care? Possibly. But I also think you kinda just run out of things to do with him.

We love a comic about lacking social development, how it affects platonic, romantic and sexual relationships, turning the youth into weapons, mass-surveillance, autonomy, control and manipulation through violence and inticement.

It becomes so obvious why they're DC's heavy hitters because all 4 of them have incredibly strong comic histories and have great all-time defining stories from nearly every decade.

This book deserves royalty. Its so amazing and easily among the likes of All-Star in terms of quality.
Reread Dead Earth. One of those rare comics that move me to tears. In terms of its premise as an ending, the overall quality, and how effortlessly it sums up Wonder Woman, I’d say it’s her equivalent to TDKR or All-Star Superman. Give it a few years to be in that “canon.”
