In our latest work we applied dipolar direct current (DDC) to get thermodynamic parameters on the dissociation of fatty acyl chains from glycerophospholipids. The driving force is a mixture of entropic and enthalpic reasons. Watch out for the head group!.

25 years ago, we published the first example of charge reduction in the gas phase to facilitate charge assignment of macromolecular ions, a crucial step for mass accuracy in mass spectrometry. Today, our tutorial with the latest approaches was published.

Another tool for the mass analysis of protein complexes under physiologically relevant conditions, robust and easy to implement. We noticed tip-to-tip variability for high MW complexes. That is addressed in a follow-up work, already in the pipeline 🤓⏱️.
