As someone who follows Irish and American politics, one major election outcome is avoiding the confusion of a Harris leading both countries. I already have this with "SF" in headlines (both Sinn Féin and San Francisco) e.g. "SF politician says <something>" and me thinking "What?".

Really enjoying all the @BBCRadio4 specials on Orwell and Kafka this weekend. I learned from Dr Karolina Watroba that Kafka had a bad flu in Prague 1918 and when he recovered, Prague had gone from being part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire to being the capital of Czechoslovakia.
There’s a special weekend underway on @BBCRadio4 (something I did some work for). “Orwell vs Kafka”; a celebration of two authors who foretold the modern world.
