8. One key issue in the article that the Report did not cover is the indeterminacy of current 'epidemic' item in force majeure clauses. @dejitoye suggested to borrow from the "war" item. This, in view of what #COVID19 taught us about pandemics. @unibolawreview @AshtonInstitute

7. The article is also quoted to illustrate circumstances in which doctrine and contract could be complementary, with the Report noting how the @JCTContracts model of construction contracts already reflect this circumstance. @unibolawreview @AshtonInstitute @TheLodt @dejitoye

6. Aspects of the Report cited/quoted @dejitoye's article on the nuances of applicable doctrines, e.g. doctrinal frustration, doctrinal force majeure vs. its broader contractual practice, and American commercial impracticality, unique in common law. @unibolawreview

5. @dejitoye's article however allays rife fear, in the early days, that there would be an epidemic of contract avoidance through reliance on force majeure clauses and frustration doctrine. Economic actors tend to adjust positions to keep the contract going. @unibolawreview

4. @dejitoye's article distinguished the pandemic risks, though global, from the 2000s financial crisis. The latter required market coordination by centralised institutions, whereas the pandemic failures would be hashed out at bilateral levels. @unibolawreview @AshtonInstitute
