I don’t even like gin, but you’ve got to admit, it’s a pretty wild bit of history. What’s your drink of choice? It’s always a Prosecco for me, bubbles are life 🥂.

The fact people drank so much had me shook for a hot minute… But then I realised I did 30 bottomless brunches last year, so who am I to judge?! 🥂.

Why? Gin was dirt cheap compared to other drinks like beer. By the mid-1700s, it’s estimated that Londoners were drinking over 11 million gallons of gin annually. To the point where the government had to introduce strict regulations known as the Gin Acts.

Back in the day, London was basically gin central. I’m talking about The Gin Craze, a period in British history where gin drinking went from zero to let’s have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I’m especially looking forward to a 10-night holiday to Magaluf, the Mighty Hoopla festival, my birthday (obvs!), Halloween celebrations, and let’s throw the Accountex after parties into the mix (IFKYK).

I’ve got a few girlie sleepovers planned (yes, I still call them sleepovers at my big ole age), Galentine’s Day plans, and I’m already back in the game with The Live Review. I’ve done my first review of the year, and I can’t wait to see what else gets added to my diary.

This year is already shaping up to be a year of celebrations and adventures. I’ve got multiple big birthdays across friends and family, and there are already five brunches in the diary… Shocker, I know 😂.

Ok, I’m officially done talking about 2024… I think. So, let’s get our 2025 chat on!.

You never know where a connection might lead: shared growth, new knowledge, additional connections, or even just lots of fun adventures. I’m going on holiday with someone I met last year, and I can’t wait!.

To everyone who was a part of my 2024 journey, thank you for the laughter, the advice, the support, and the memories.

At work, bonds grew stronger as we navigated large projects, challenging moments, and we celebrated our wins together.

This year, I expanded my professional network through events, built connections through The Live Review collaborations and reviews, and met amazing new friends at socials.

It’s very easy to shut down and make the decision to stop letting people in, after all no one can hurt you if you don’t let them. But thank god I didn’t!.

If 2024 taught me anything, it’s the value of surrounding yourself with the right people. A big change in 2023 made me rethink relationships and asking what makes them truly meaningful.
