For me, I'm telling a whole plot. A different POV may be moving the story forward for a while, but it's the plot that matters. It doesn't need to be a perfectly balanced split - it'd be great if that was the case but it's not a requirement. So long as the plot is solid.
Question for the #writingcommunity because I genuinely don’t know. Is it acceptable to have dual POV, but focus on one character slightly more than the other if that’s what the story requires? Or does it have to be a 50/50 split? Help.
