The animals at Göbeklitepe are beautiful caricature maps of Africa to Asia, but they are not unique nor the oldest. There was vast knowledge of the shapes of our world prior to confidently chiseling them as animals in stone. Cartoon maps are the easiest to orient, understand &

The Family Portrait. It’s not just maps, there are real people behind the ancient carvings and symbols. Using the stones, the Ancients faithfully passed stories on for millennia. They wanted to educate their children & grandchildren to remember old lessons, not repeat them.

Galilee is East in the Mediterranean in the first reading. A second reading from the stones places Harran/Göbeklitepe East of Cappadocia, the rear of the Bull/Taurus Mountains, and East of Euphrates River…which means one more East: Sumer and invention!

Karahantepe is back in the news so I thought you’d enjoy short walk with me. Cheers.
A visit to Karahantepe. People did this. No giants/wizards/aliens. People very much like us as this was a meeting place, a learning place with encampments all around for management, visitors, animals, stores, kitchens, fuel dumps, etc. Everything a “babbling” university needs. :)

Another East, another farm…but his time it’s business! To the East of Harran/Göbeklitepe is Sefertepe. An outpost with a stone tablet that maps a strip of farmland further East: the land & water rights for all between Karaca Dağ & Ceylanpınar. A separate Land Title, no longer
Genesis 2, cont: Banished to the East to sweat, thorns, thistles & a cherubim placed. Sefertepe maps the western waters flowing from Karaca Dağ to Ceylanpınar. The same land has been removed from D30 & D43 and is a separate land title! Mt Masia, modern cereal grains originate
