The root to the biggest problem in The Sims 4 are the traits. They primarily affect emotions rather than autonomous behavior. Sims would feel more unique if their behavior, wants, and fears were affected by their traits like in The Sims 3.

The Sims 4 Expansions lack because they prioritize gameplay systems like Sentiments, Milestones, and Soul’s Journey over gameplay objects. These features are nice, but the packs don’t add enough new content. They instead give you new ways to play with already existing content.
