I've been enjoying doing commission work recently but man I am really starting to feel the itch to do some drawing for myself now, haha 😅.

But holy hell do the characters look stiff in motion! The weirdly rigid anatomy and especially the static faces and hair really makes it look like action figures rather than people. I'm not principally opposed to 3d anime but c'mon, you gotta do better than this. .

I don't hate the overall visual style, and I think there's a good chance that action scenes will be staged in a more dynamic and lively way than in previous adaptations. The cinematography in general seems like it could offer something genuinely new and fresh.

lol this is some pachislot-ass animation 🫠.I know I'm a curmudgeon who's been unhappy with how "modern" anime looks for the last 20 years but man does this look stiff and awkward. I'm curious to watch it because I'm a hnk fan, but I struggle to imagine enjoying it much.
